    3. You can make a top by adjusting the foundation chain that fit to your body. Anyway, I can make a crochet top pattern out of this dress for you. will keep you posted.

  2. I noticed quite a few discrepancies in your pattern.
On Row 18, the pattern is written as follows:
” Round 18: Sl st to 2ch sp, ch3 (consider as 1st dc), dc in the same sp, ch3, 2dc over shell, ch3, skip 3ch sp, 7dc in next v-st, (ch3, skip 3ch sp, 2dc over shell, ch3, 2dc over shell, ch3, skip 3ch sp, 7dc in next v-st,) around, end w/ dc in 1st dc to join.”
This is somewhat confusing to me.
If you look at the pattern diagram, these instructions (ch3, 2dc over shell,) don’t appear to fit in with the rest of the pattern sequence. After I did the chain 3 and DC in the same space, I chained 3 and did the 7 DC in the next V stitch. It made more sense to me to do it this way.
Row 19 was equally confusing in the beginning. It says “Beg shell on dc, ch 3, skip 2dc, skip 3ch sp,” etc. If I followed the pattern as it is written, there is no second dc set to skip because of the way the pattern instructs you to join the previous row with “end w/ dc in 1st dc to join.”
In order to make the pineapple pattern stitches even and look uniform ( I have crocheted the pineapple stitch before), I did the following. At the end of Row 18, I slip stitched in the ch 3 of Beg shell. I then did a reverse slip stitch into the ch 3 space preceding the join. I did my Beg shell in that space. Doing this keeps the pattern looking uniform and neat. When I did the Beg shell in the previous ch 3 space, I crocheted over the slip stitch I did to go back to that space. This hides it and keeps the work looking neat.
Another mistake or typo in this pattern:
Row 31 tells you to sc in “Ch 1 space”. The pattern SHOULD READ to sc in next ch 3 space. I see that the same mistake was made for Rows 32 to the end of the pattern. If I wasn’t familiar with the pineapple stitch, I would be very lost and confused!
I got the pattern figured out, and thank you for it. It is just a bit confusing the way some of it is written. I am sure someone who is doing it for the first time will find it difficult to understand.

  3. I just wanted to say thank you for this pattern. I have started this morning and am half way done! I am debating on making it a skirt and stopping at row 19 or continuing to make a full dress. Thanks again!
